Suikoden 2.5 had a lot of characters. Some were original, some weren't. This was an original character from a family of entertainers. They were vaguely Slavic in background, since I wanted to give the family an identity apart from the others in Suikoden, while making them fit the world. I think it worked.

Lenya was a dancer by family order, not by choice. She wanted to learn Magic, and was told that her dancing was magic and she should be happy with that. But when given the opportunity to learn Rune magic, she leapt at it. She's still not fantastic at rune usage, but she is a fantastic dancer, which gives her a dilemma in life.

I discovered my new style when I started drawing characters in this family. I first drew them 3 years ago. Needless to say, I liked the style, as it is now the way I draw everything.
