When I originally got Wren's head, he was just the extra head that came with my El Special, something to practice face-ups on. I had no plans to do anything with him, or for him to become his own character. So at this point, he was still "Jay." But even back then, he gave off a different feel than Jay did. I just didn't recognize it until much later.
This was my first face-up and the first piece of clothing that I sewed for him (pants). I practiced the face-up on Jay's "extra" head, because I could re-buy it if I screwed it up beyond repair. I think it turned out pretty good for a first try! Too orange, but otherwise...

Wren/Jay lounging on my large, red pillow after his face-up in his new pants.
Wren/Jay: I'll just bask in the sun for awhile... *purrs*

Wren\Jay: Oh yeah, this is the life...

I didn't have a lot of places to take pictures of Wren/Jay at the time, because I was trying to stay near the natural light of the window. So he's sitting in one of my dining room chairs.

Wren/Jay: Mmph... Too bright. ...What's out there, anyway?

Wren/Jay, pretty as always. This was as close as I could get to a close-up of his face. =P
