I actually didn't like Sesshomaru very much at first, good looking or not. But as time wore on, I found my interest changing to him ever so gradually. Now, well out of my Inuyasha phase, he's the character who's tugging me back into it the most... |

When I first began getting into Inu-Yasha, it was by chance. I'd bought a stack of manga from a local Shinders, where they had bundles of random manga. As I was still very new and didn't want to spend a lot of money, these were perfect. A few Inu-Yasha manga were in it.
From there, I quickly fell in love with the series - or more specifically, with the pairing of Inu-Yasha and Kagome. Kagome was an intelligent heroine who helped get herself out of situations, and Inu-Yasha tried to be a bad-arse demon who didn't care about anyone... failing miserably, I might add. ^_^

The mixture of silly and heartbreaking in Koinosuke intrigued me. Often, he was incredibly silly, and you couldn't help laughing at him. But underlying it was a real sadness which couldn't help but endear him to me.

While their relationship right now is of father and son, their ages match well enough that I can easily see their relationship changing into something else, once Tsukasa is a few years older. Their love is so deep that it's hard for me to see them ending up with anyone but each other.

Their romance was cute and heartbreaking at the same time, depending on the moment. Sinbad clearly likes Jeanne, and knows more of what's going on. The reader waits breathlessly for something to happen...

He dislikes Sumire's relationship with her boyfriend, but supports it regardless. And, every once in awhile, he can't help but try to become more than just a pet in her eyes... |

But he is also supportive and kind, and he always seems to know what she needs.
They make a very cute couple. I'm waiting for Sumire to realize Momo has become the center of her world.

He's a lot more willing to give information than everyone else, and it's generally more to the point and honest.
Axel's appearances were always interesting and unpredictable in Kingdom Hearts 2, and even if it meant fighting him, I looked forward to it.

Considering he seemed to be absent for most of the game, when he finally reappears, they had to do some serious making up for lost time.. and they did a wonderful job! I was purring in contentment by the end of the game. They gave me eveything and more that I wanted. |

I admire Sana-chan's strong will and lack of self-consciousness. You'll never find Sana being a wallflower. Indeed, she's the one who'd be dancing in the middle of the floor on a table, dressed in a hula skirt, with a lamp shade for a hat... without the aid of alcohol first.

He reacts by leading the boys in class on an all-out revolt against their teacher. When Sana has managed to "soothe the beast," he becomes a loner who has trouble displaying his emotions. Slowly over the course of the series, Hayama changes, becoming more supportive and open with his feelings (only a little, though). Watching him grow up and become more than the bully he was at the beginning is a part of the appeal of the series. |

I really didn't like Gwendal at first. He was big, and mean, and forbidding, and... and kinda scary.
Then Gwendal's dignity took a hit when I learned he liked knitting stuffed animals, which were scattered all over his office, and he was deathly scared of Anissina, who often used him as the test subject of her weird inventions.
What decided my switch from disliking him to liking him were the moments he displayed a tender concern for Yuuri. He does everything he can to keep Yuuri safe from harm, even if Yuuri doesn't always like how he does it.

Yuuri was a normal high school student until one day some bullies dunked his head in a toilet, and he found himself transported to another world. There, he finds out he's the Maou, the ruler of the Mazoku. And he himself is half mazoku.
The regular Yuuri is kind of dorky, with a cheerful, silly nature, who's unwilling to hurt anyone, and always wants to talk things out. Yuuri's other half - the side of him which is mazoku - takes over when he's pissed and ready to deliver a little revenge ... er, "justice." -_-;; That side has gobs of spare magic, and a taste for the theatrical. His hair grows out a few inches, his eyes narrow and turn slitted.
I like characters such as Yuuri who have split personalities. Seeing the "other side" take over always causes my pulse to race and a grin to break out across my face. |

When Yuuri first spots Wolfram, his comment is, "Bishounen?!" Wolfram could be mistaken for a girl. Indeed, at night he wears feminine-looking nightgowns - often pink or white in color and with really big poufs or frills. =3
Don't let his looks fool you. Wolfram is quick to temper, and has the magic and swordsmanship to back up it up. He's an aristocrat through and through, and has never really bothered to associate with the "lower classes."
...I like him purely for the scenes of him in a nightgown. XD |

Konrad is perfect in almost every way, as far as I can tell. He's brave, a kick-arse swordsman, loyal, charming, and supportive. He's kind to everyone, and is remarkably unprejudiced about any class of people, from nobles to lower class to mazoku to humans. He's traveled, gone through a war or two, and experienced a lot in his lifetime. It's hard not to like Konrad. |

Considering how little Wolfram seems to like Yuuri at first, Wolfram is surprisingly possessive and jealous. Over time, Wolfram grows to care a lot for Yuuri, and has been known to follow after Yuuri when he disappears without warning. He also sleeps in the same bed as Yuuri... no matter how much Yuuri protests. XD

Dio is a strange combination of innocence and worldly experience. He's from a class-ruled world, where people are superior or inferior, but never equals. When he leaves/runs away from the Guild, he ends up with people who aren't half as class conscious, who work hard and play harder. The change is good for Dio, who has been bound all his life by rules and the class system.
He comes across as rather childish most of the time, but underlying it is a seriousness and a deep-rooted fear. A complex character with interesting motivations.

Alex was a tragic character who tugged at your heartstrings, waiting nearly the entire series for him to reveal why he is the way he is, and if he can move past it. |

Watching Kazahaya defend his heterosexual status is always great fun. ^_^
