JOWY
Suikoden II
He’s intelligent, strong, protective, has long blonde hair… If you read my favorite traits, he’s the best of everything. Mostly I love how much I can agree with the way he chose to do things. He was a hero that got stuck in his plan and with certain events became less than heroic, more tragic really. He tries so hard to protect everyone else, yet his secretive actions end up hurting those he loves. I cry for him, cheer him on, hope he’ll stop, and support him all at once.

Last Exile
He’s the epitome of innocence in the strangest way. He has a bright mind, and is inquisitive about everything, but he’s more than that too. The character has depth; worries, fears, talents, history… He’s just a well-thought-out character. He’s quite unique in a lot of ways. He’s so strange, sometimes he seems too far from reality to grasp, but there are so many clips of humanity in him, that tugs my heart even while making me blink. |

KILLUA
Hunter x Hunter
Watching a character re-claim his innocence and playfulness is pure joy to me. Killua is a child, and acts like a child, though he has the mind and talent of someone far beyond his years. He made a wonderful life-choice, looking for what he enjoys and placing friendship first, so whatever flaws he may have, are interesting, charming and never character-degrading.

RIN
Please Save My Earth
This is a two-in-one! He’s got the past of Shion, a character I didn’t much like, and remembers that history. But he grows beyond that. He carries some of the goal and determination of Shion, while keeping a bit of his own personality and childhood as well. Truly multi-dimensional to the point where is hurts my brain in a good way. |

CHICHIRI
Fushigi Yuugi
A long-term favorite of mine. He’s seen a lot in his life, and made mistakes. He has a lot of hurt, but what does he do with this? Gives good, sound advise. Protects others. Cheers people up when he sees they’re depressed. Doesn’t forget his past, but doesn’t stop living either. He’s admirable in a lot of ways.

Protective mother-hen, that I love so much. Anime needs more guys like this. Come to think of it, real-life does too! |

ROCK LEE
Naruto
Hard-working, strong, caring, protective, honest, insert good character trait here! Rock Lee is what everyone would love to have in a friend, lover, or family member. You could be proud of him. He may not be all brain, and his fashion sense needs work, but you can’t not love him. He’s just the best kind of person there is. |
