3 FAVORITE MANGA
My favorite manga. #1 is, of course, my absolute favorite, going down from there.

HIKARU NO GO
Well paced and ever evolving. Believable (strangely). The art was excellent, breathtaking, really. But what I like most about this story, is that I never knew what was coming next. It constantly surprised me. One moment the character would be rising to the top of everything, the next, they’d just quit. Then the mood soars, and somehow they crash back to the bottom. (spoiler) It ends with Japan entirely loosing a tournament with China and Korea. That made me respect the manga so much. It wasn’t a sad ending, it was more unfinished, like it left off with room to grow. The charcters must continue their journey. It was uplifting and refreshing.

CLAMP
Okay, that’s vague. But what I love about CLAMP is that they do everything so well. Each manga they make is different from the last one. The only thing that remains the same, is the art-style (which also varies a fair amount) and their tendency toward odd characters, couplings, and situations. That and how often they intertwine their stories! What fun! |

MERUPURI
It’s a fairly young manga, and often cliché, but the art is what gets to me. It’s some of the best stuff I’ve seen. For some odd reason, though I’m no longer that fond of shoujo, this shoujo manga has me hooked, and squealing like a jr. high schooler.
